隨寫 - 上兩周 (續)

+ 平時，我星期六是不用上班的。上兩個星期，我老闆叫我在星期六晚上班數小時。原因?! 他要去賭場參加抽獎，情人節晚餐party，等等。去到賭場，當然會玩樂一下，大家明啦！

+ Uncle's 朋友兼工作 partern 有屋想出租，問我家人有沒有興趣。我爸有興趣，因那裏的租金較現在的便宜。至於我，沒有所謂，不過搬屋是件非常麻煩的事，盡可能不想搬。Anyway, 我致電 apartment office 詢問有關搬屋事宜，談了不久 (數分鐘)，很意外地 manager 肯減租 (經濟不景?!)，但還是比新地方租金貴。最後，我家人決定搬，時間是四月尾。

+ 在 CCRI 巧遇 P，這才醒起是時候交 financial aid。deadline是3月1日。

+ 下星期有三個測驗和一個 presentation。突然間又多兩樣事情搞，填搬屋 paperwork 和 financial aid。

隨寫 - 上兩周

+ 忙於功課測驗。累！

+ 計劃 8天Florida 旅行 (3/14-21)，已訂了機票及 hostel，共約 us$450。打算去 orlando 和 miami ，詳細行程正在計劃中。已確定去 Walt Disneyland World，至於去多少天，還未決定，我想三至四天吧！可能你會想：嘩，駛唔駛去咁多日呀。其實，我覺得算少，因為每天只可去一個park，而 Disneyland 有4個 theme parks 及 2個 water parks (詳情)。即是說，如果要去齊整個 Disneyland ，需要 6 天時間。我對 water parks 的興趣不大，想去齊 4 個 theme parks。

+ 近來喜歡看台劇 <敗犬女王>，原因：我想是其誇張搞笑的劇情吧！

喜歡這圖 relaxed & calm 的感覺。

+ 近來認識了一位懂廣東話的中國朋友 (來自福建)，某天和她聊了數小時電話。來了美國之後，我極少「煲電話粥」了，再上一次，已忘記是何年何月何日！她懂廣東話，是因為看得多香港電視劇，哈，她看過的劇集比我還要多呢！另外，她很喜歡看書，還借了一些簡體字小說我看。謝謝！簡體字版的小說很難看，我腦海裏構想不到劇情，怎麼說呢，類似看完一頁，忘記前一頁說甚麼。

食飯 + 迷路

上星期日，老闆邀請下屬，親戚，和朋友一齊吃晚飯。老闆娘還邀請了我妹一齊去，怕我悶吧！因我不懂怎麼去，我駕著自己的車跟著老闆的車去。是日晚餐，非常豐富，有魚，罐頭飽魚，魚翅，三文魚，海參，蝦，雞，等等。吃到第尾三個餸時，個個覺得好飽。我相信有一半食物是被打包拿走的。

個人認為，
最好味的餸菜是魚翅羹，用料足。
最有創意的是炸雞配炸香蕉，香蕉的甜味中和油膩感。
最受人讚賞的是那條魚。條魚是由一對非常喜歡釣魚的夫婦，駕五小時車去Alanta city, NJ，再乖數小時船出海，釣回來的。同桌者都說，這魚的肉質較一般魚實，爽口。我吃了兩口，唯一感覺是不腥，不覺得特別好吃。(我自小討厭吃魚，平時只吃急凍魚，為的是其營養。壽司魚生另計，這些我大多喜歡。)

最精彩的部份不是這餐飯，而是．．．

晚飯後，我駕車跟著某同事的車走。怎知那人也不熟路，我跟了她一會後，決定自己走，不跟她了。我跟著某一條高速公路一直走，一直看路標，看看有沒有自己熟識的地方。不久，驚見路牌 ，汗，竟然不知不覺去了另一個州。我立刻駛離高速公路，找人問路。不久，見到間麥當勞，向識員問路 (幸好我來得及時，餐廳就快打洋。) 接著，跟著指示，順利找到回家的高速公路，安全回家 =)

記得最初駕車時，我常常迷路。如果我知道目的地是在附近，我會四圍「兜」下。如果不確定位置，我會到快餐店或便利店問路。Well, 最後，我大多數找到要去的地方 =)

Advising - grad?!

+ Last Tuesday, I met a psychology adviser. She marked down the courses I taken before I came. I was impressed because most advisers did this kind of thing during the meeting, not before. I appreciate it a lot.

+ My two main concerns

1. Have I met all general requirements?!
According to this advisor, yes. Before this meeting, I saw another walk-in-advisor who said I still had to take two more courses in order to meet all general requirements. Who do I trust?! (It's one of the reasons why I can't tell my graduation date.)

2. Am I following the psych major direction?
Yes. I've to take three more psych courses. (Good!!)

+ Some friends asked me my graduation date. I really don't know. There are many uncertainties. Well, my plan is to graduate in Dec 09... First of all, I've to figure out whether I've met all general requirements. The most accurate way is to fill out an Intent to Graduate form, but it takes weeks or months to know the result. I don't want to wait. Well, no choice.

+ Some asked me when I would visit HK this summer. I don't know, too. It depends on whether I take summer courses. Seriously, I want to be back as soon as possible.

+ Miss you all!!

School - 2nd week

1/26/09 Mon

+ p301. I didn't officially enrol in the class because I haven't met the class requirements yet, so I've to get a permission from the professor. Before, I emailed the professor about talking both 300 and 301 together, and she said yes.

+Today, I attended the class as usual. At the end of the lesson, I asked the professor for permission number so that I could enrol the class officially. However, the professor said I'd to get a premission from the head of department as well in order to take the class. I didn't know about it.

+Afterward, I went to psych department for the request, but the secertary said that I didn't have to get an extra permission from the head since the professor'd already said yes. Luckily, the secretary helped me to get the premission number from the professor.

+Well, I didn't want to deal with this kind of troublesome paperwork!!



1/27/09 Tue

+ I was surprised to meet B in URI main entrance because she isn't a URI student. She told me she got on a wrong bus. B, sorry that I didn't chat with you. I was very tired at that time.

+ To take a 15 mins nap.

+ To see a psych advisor so was late to the next class. Well, didn't matter. I'm often late to class

+ to M 316 (bored, no idea what is going on), P300 (pay attention), M451 (day-dream), P103 (fell asleep), M382(the most meaningful lesson today)

+ to work.

+ No class. P301 professor re-scheduled the class to Fri because of snow.

+ Happy to chat with M in MSN.



1/29/09 Thu

+ M316 (Finally, I'd a clue on what was going on) P300, M451, P103, M382

+ check-up. I'd a long chat, about 30 mins, with the talkative doctor. He's different from the doctors I met in both HK and US. We talked anout my background, concern, etc. Meanwhile, he told me he was reading a book called The China Study, about the study of nutrition in China, recently. Afterward, I requested it from public libraries. Well, this book seems to be interesting. At the same time, I doubted whether I'd time to read it ==''

+ P301. Few days ago, I enrolled the class successfully. Glad.
